Skylar Astin was born on September 23rd 1987 in New York, United States. Astin has one sister called, Brielle he has two brothers called Jace (who is older) and Milan ( who is younger) He was raised as a Jew.
Skylar's last name is actually 'Lipstein', not Astin. Astin is his middle name. He states in an interview that his agent just decided to just chop it off.
While at the Tisch School of the Arts he was casted in the Spring Awakening theatre show in 2008. This chance of a lifetime caused him to take some time of school to focus on the theatre show.
Skylar has theatre, television and film work in his years. Astin has been in the theatre Rent and Spring Awakening, the television show Love Bites and has acted in Pitch Perfect, Hamlet 2 & Wreck-it Ralph.
When Skylar was in his teens he played Javier in Les Miserables in Broadway at the end for the final call where the four main characters were portrayed by teenagers and they all sang the final song.
