Lebensabschnittspartner is the sixth and final episode in the first season of the television series, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin. The episode aired on Peacock on November 23, 2022.
Synopsis[]
With his future in music at stake, Bumper takes the stage for the newcomer spot at Unity Day.
Plot Summary[]
Bumper wakes up from what he thinks is a horrible nightmare- but is in fact a reality. He has 6 hours before he's going to be deported from Germany so his team decides to act fast to prevent this from happening. Pieter and Thea call their father, Klaus, for his help with government connections. However, Klaus reveals he's the one who tipped off the German government in the first place.
Instead, they run to the local government office and speak to a woman called Hilda to apply for a visa extension. However, she isn't able to to help them. Disheartened, they go to Bumper's costume fitting for German Unity Day. There, Heidi has the idea that Bumper should get married to stay in the country. Thea agrees to marry him so they run off and go back to find Hilda. However, the office is closed for German Unity Day.
The group runs to the event to try to find Hilda in the crowd. They find her and she agrees to help marry Thea and Bumper. They get married in front of the crowd, after Gisela performs, and Bumper is allowed to stay. He starts to sing but pauses to tell the audience that they should hear Heidi instead. Heidi takes her moment in the spotlight and sings her song. Bumper sings with her for a mash up.
Heidi gets scouted after the show for her song. Bumper tells Pieter he'll stay in Berlin and Thea tells him he has to move in so that Germany won't think their marriage is a fraud. Heidi has to decide what to do and Bumper seems bummed that after opening up about his feelings to her that she might move away.
Gisela tries to get Pieter back once again and suggests getting Das Sound Machine back together. Pieter is tempted but tells her no- that he has a new group now.
