Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin[]
Heidi is Pieter's assistant but she is also a secret songwriter. She is an American, but was an army brat, which is how she ended up living abroad in Berlin. Heidi first meets Bumper after he flies over from America to have his music career managed by Pieter. Heidi helps him settle in, showing him his hostel, giving him familiar foods and caffeine pills, and showing him around the city.
Heidi and Bumper get along really well. She shows him how she writes songs, after he sees her secretly perform until the pseudonum "Karen Fraren" at a bar one night. Bumper is impressed by her song and he ends up playing it for Thea, who loves it and produces it, believing it's Bumper's song. Heidi goes to the office to celebrate Bumper's new song and when she hears he stole her own song she is frustrated and upset. She leaves and Bumper tries to make it up to her. He admits he stole the song on the TV talk show, Sour Pickles, and gives all the credit to Heidi. She is shocked, surprised, and a little happy that she is getting credit and that people love her song- however she didn't imagine her songwriting debut would go this way.
Heidi continues to help Bumper and Pieter but starts to feel less like a peer. Gisela tries to recruit Heidi to work for her but Heidi realizes she just wants dirt on Bumper and Pieter. Heidi tells Pieter she has to quit as his assistant but wants him to manager her music career instead. He agrees.
At Germany Unity Day, Bumper is performing but stops to introduce Heidi and invite her to sing. She goes out and sings and impresses the audience. A scout finds her and asks to represent her if she moves to L.A. She is considering it but also has feelings for Bumper which has her confused about what to do next.
